Letter from the Founder and Executive Director

IPowered was born out of a deep passion to empower and support young women. As a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminology, my academic journey has been rooted in understanding society and addressing the issues that often affect marginalized groups, especially young girls. IPowered was inspired by my personal life experiences. Growing up, I often longed for a place where I felt seen, heard, and truly understood—a space where I could connect with like-minded young women and learn from mentors who genuinely cared about my growth. The absence of that kind of support motivated me to create what I once needed. I realized that by stepping up, I could offer a safe haven for young women to thrive and overcome challenges that might otherwise hold them back.
The heart of IPowered lies in the belief that every girl deserves the chance to flourish in an environment where she feels safe, valued, and empowered. Growing up, so many young women face societal pressures, self-doubt, and limited access to mentorship and resources. These barriers can stifle potential and prevent them from living boldly and authentically. It’s time to break free and embrace the fullness of life.
At iPowered, we are breaking those barriers by creating opportunities for girls to connect, learn, and grow together. Our mission is to foster confidence, self-worth, and leadership skills in young women, equipping them to take on the world fearlessly. Through workshops, mentorship programs, or community-building events, we are dedicated to helping young women realize their potential and dream bigger than ever before.
IPowered is only just beginning. My vision is to expand our reach and impact, transforming this organization into a global force for empowering young women. I want to see iPowered chapters in various cities serving as beacons of hope and opportunity. We will offer scholarships, host international retreats, and build a robust online platform for resources and mentorship accessible to young women anywhere in the world.
Creating IPowered is not just a dream; it’s a calling. It’s my way of giving back, ensuring that no girl feels alone in her journey and that every young woman has the tools to succeed, regardless of where she starts. Together, we are building a future where young women are not just surviving but thriving—boldly, confidently, and unapologetically.
